This notice explains how Phuture Me Limited collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use phuture.me, the Tarot & Numerology app for iOS or Android, or services connected to them.
1. Who we are and what this notice covers
Phuture Me Limited is a New Zealand company and is the agency responsible for personal information covered by this notice. “Phuture Me”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Phuture Me Limited.
This notice covers:

- the Tarot & Numerology app for iOS and Android;
- AI Assisted Readings, professional written readings and live video consultations;
- numerology, Tarot, Lenormand, Oracle, Kipper and Rune features;
- purchases, subscriptions, customer support, notifications and related communications.
Some linked websites, app stores and services have their own privacy notices. Their handling of information for their own purposes is governed by those notices.

Providing information is generally voluntary, but we cannot provide an account, paid service, personalised result or support response without the information needed for that feature. We do not need your postal address or phone number for an ordinary Phuture Me account unless a particular transaction, legal requirement or support issue makes it necessary.
Information collected automatically
Web servers and security systems process technical request information such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser or app information and error details. The apps may also collect product interaction, crash, performance and other diagnostic data as described in the relevant App Store privacy label and Google Play Data safety section.
Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address or device/network information for security, analytics, advertising consent or regional service requirements. The Tarot & Numerology app does not require precise GPS location for its core features.
3. Information about other people
Your question, compatibility profile, photo or message may contain information about another identifiable person. This is personal information about that person even if they do not have a Phuture Me account.
Only provide another person’s information when you have a reasonable and lawful basis to do so. Avoid surnames, contact details, private correspondence, health information and intimate images unless they are genuinely necessary and you have the person’s permission. Do not upload content that you are not entitled to share.
We collect this information from you to provide the reading, compatibility result or conversation you requested. It may be seen by the professional reader you select and may be processed by the service providers described below. A person can contact our Privacy Officer to ask whether we hold information about them and to request access or correction, subject to applicable law.
4. AI Assisted Readings
When you request a Phuture Me AI-assisted reading, the selected cards, spread positions, your question and any profile details required for that reading are sent through Phuture Me’s systems to specialist third-party AI processing services engaged by Phuture Me so that the requested interpretation can be generated. The underlying processing service may change as models and service availability change.
The AI processing service is not given your Phuture Me account name, email address, password or payment details. It receives the reading content needed to generate your result. Anything you choose to include in a question, note or compatibility profile may form part of that content, so avoid names or sensitive details that are not needed for the reading.
Phuture Me keeps the submitted reading content, generated response and basic service records where needed to deliver the reading, maintain the history you request, administer credits, provide support and keep the service reliable. The processing services handle the reading request under their applicable service terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell your reading content.
5. Professional readers, messages and live video
When you purchase or request a professional reading, the reader you choose receives the information necessary to provide it. This can include your first name, question, chosen cards, messages, relevant date of birth, time zone, and any photo or attachment you submit. Readers must use that information only to provide and support the Phuture Me service.
Live video consultations use Daily.co. Daily processes the audio, video and connection information needed to run the call. Phuture Me also receives room and participation events, such as room identifiers, participant labels, join and leave times, session status and duration, so that bookings can be administered. Phuture Me configures these rooms without cloud recording. If a reader offers to make a local recording, it must only be done with your permission; ask where it will be stored and agree how it will be delivered or deleted before recording begins.
6. Tarot & Numerology app information
Information that can remain on your device
Saved spreads, questions, notes, custom decks, custom spreads, statistics and personal or friends-and-family numerology profiles can be stored locally on your device. They are not sent to Phuture Me merely because you create or save them. They may leave the device when you choose an online feature, export or share a file, enable a platform backup, request an AI Assisted Reading, or send material to a professional reader.
Backups and iCloud
On iOS, you can choose to store supported app documents and settings in your Apple iCloud account. On Android and iOS, operating-system backup settings may back up eligible app data. Apple or Google controls those platform backups under its own privacy terms. Deleting a Phuture Me account does not automatically delete files held only on your device, in iCloud or in another backup you control.
Analytics, diagnostics, advertising and notifications
The apps use Google Firebase services for product analytics, crash and performance reporting, app installation identifiers and push messaging. The free app may use Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your platform, region and consent choices, advertising services may process a device or advertising identifier, product interactions, diagnostics and coarse location. iOS asks for tracking permission where Apple requires it, and both apps provide applicable Google consent or privacy controls. Refusing optional tracking does not prevent the core app from working, although ads may be less personalised.
If you allow push notifications, Apple or Google and Phuture Me process a device push token and notification delivery information. You can turn notifications off in the app or device settings.
Sign-in and in-app purchases
If you use Sign in with Apple or Google sign-in, the provider gives Phuture Me an account identifier and the profile information you authorise, which may include a name and email address. Apple App Store or Google Play handles app purchases and gives Phuture Me purchase tokens, product and subscription status needed to verify and provide your entitlement. Phuture Me does not receive your full app-store payment card details.
7. Cookies, similar storage and website analytics
This section is Phuture Me’s cookie notice. We keep it here so you do not have to reconcile a separate cookie policy with this privacy notice.
Necessary cookies and local storage
The website uses cookies or browser storage needed to keep the site secure and working, remember a session or login, maintain a checkout, remember consent choices, limit abuse and preserve selected preferences. Disabling these can prevent account, security, checkout or personalised features from working.
Website measurement
Phuture Me uses site-operated analytics and visitor counting to understand aggregate traffic and whether the website is growing. These tools may process pages visited, referral information, browser or device details and IP-derived information. The visitor counter is configured to store a salted hash of the IP address rather than the raw address. Standard web-server and security logs may still contain an IP address for a limited period.
Third-party website features
Cookies or similar technologies may also be used when you interact with hCaptcha, Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, PayPal checkout, privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds or another feature supplied by a third party. Those providers may receive technical connection information and information you choose to submit to them.
Your cookie choices
Where the website uses non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will request consent when required and will not treat silence or continued browsing as consent. You can use the website’s consent control where available and can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies can stop sign-in, checkout or security features from working.
8. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose it only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including to:
- the professional reader you choose and authorised Phuture Me staff or contractors;
- hosting, content-delivery, security and email providers, including Amazon Web Services and Amazon CloudFront;
- account and platform providers such as Apple and Google;
- Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads and related consent services used by the apps;
- payment providers and app stores, including PayPal, Apple App Store and Google Play;
- specialist third-party AI processing services used to generate AI Assisted Readings;
- Daily.co for live video consultations;
- hCaptcha and privacy-enhanced YouTube services when those website features are used;
- professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement agencies or courts where disclosure is reasonably necessary or required by law;
- a buyer or successor if Phuture Me is restructured or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
Service providers are given only the information reasonably needed for their role and are expected to protect it. Some providers also act independently for parts of their service, such as app-store accounts, payment accounts or advertising choices.
9. Processing outside New Zealand
Some readers and service providers are located outside New Zealand, including in the United States and other countries. This means personal information can be processed in a country with different privacy laws. We take reasonable steps required by New Zealand law to ensure overseas recipients provide comparable safeguards, are otherwise covered by the Privacy Act, or that another lawful basis for the disclosure applies.
10. Why we are allowed to use information
Under New Zealand law, we collect and use personal information for lawful purposes connected with our functions and only where it is reasonably necessary. Where another jurisdiction requires a stated legal basis, we generally rely on:
- performance of a contract or steps you request before entering one, such as creating an account or delivering a purchased reading;
- our legitimate interests in securing, administering and improving the service, balanced against your rights;
- your consent for optional marketing, tracking, advertising personalisation, notifications or another clearly optional use;
- compliance with tax, accounting, consumer, safety and other legal obligations.
11. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it may lawfully be used. The period depends on the type of information and whether it is needed to provide an active account or service, preserve reading or transaction history requested by the user, resolve a dispute, prevent abuse, meet tax or accounting duties, or maintain security records.
- Account information: generally while the account is active and for a limited period after closure where needed for recovery, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations.
- Reading and conversation content: while needed to deliver the service and make requested history available, then deleted or de-identified when no longer required.
- Transaction records: for the period required by tax, accounting, payment and dispute rules.
- Support and security records: for as long as needed to resolve the matter, protect the service and establish what occurred.
- Local app and user-controlled cloud data: until you remove it, uninstall the app, clear app data, or delete it from the platform backup or cloud account.
Deleting an account may not immediately remove information held in backups, transaction records required by law, or de-identified aggregate statistics. We will not use retained information for an unrelated purpose.
12. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and service, including encrypted connections, access controls, authentication controls, restricted administrative access, backups, monitoring and service-provider review. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
If a privacy breach has caused or is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner and affected people as soon as reasonably practicable, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
13. Your choices and privacy rights
You can update some account information by signing in. You may also ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
- provide access to it or correct information that is wrong;
- delete your account and information that we are not required to keep;
- withdraw consent for optional processing;
- stop marketing communications;
- exercise another privacy right available where you live.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some requests can be limited by law, the rights of another person, security, or the need to keep transaction and legal records.
Marketing and service messages
Creating an account or making a purchase does not by itself subscribe you to general marketing. We send marketing only with the consent or other authority required by applicable law, identify Phuture Me as the sender and provide a working unsubscribe method. Account security, purchase, subscription, reading and support messages are service communications and may still be sent when needed to provide a service you requested.
Age
Phuture Me accounts, AI Assisted Readings, professional readings, purchases and connected services are intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child for those services. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this requirement, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised date here and, where a change materially affects how registered users’ information is handled, provide an additional notice through the website, app or account communication where reasonably practicable.
15. Contact us or make a complaint
Use the Phuture Me Support Contact Page and include “Privacy” in the subject. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers or unnecessary sensitive information.
This public notice is intended to explain Phuture Me’s handling of personal information. It does not replace Phuture Me’s internal privacy, security, retention and incident-response procedures.
